Hello all.
We will be on our way to Shanghai in two weeks. As retired teachers going to new teaching jobs in China, we are very excited.
We have been told to expect to pay 2-3 months rent up front as well as a "finders fee" for the agent. I am wondering what other "start up" costs we can expect for the first month. Are there deposit charges on electricity, water, internet? We are on a tight budget until the first payday in Sept. so I do not want many surprises. Any help will be appreciated.

HI Dennis,
There shouldn't be deposits on water, utilities, but will have setup fees for internet service depending on what speed you want.
