soccer club for an 11 year old boy

Hi I was just wondering was there any league football that my 11 year old son could try out for. There are alot of soccer schools only doing 10 weeks courses and are very expensive I just wanted him to get involved in club football as this is what he did back home in Ireland. Thanks for any help.
