Why can't I access only to Facebook and wordpress?

Hi everyone,

I don't understand why my internet is great except for Facebook and wordpress...any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

Gheri

There's an idiot on Wordpress who thinks he can change the government here by yelling and screaming.

So the government put the boot to everything on Wordpress.

THIS is what is causing you a hassle:

Hi
you can dowload small software http://www.ultrareach.com/download/u.zip
Unzip it.

Only run software when you access FB, because, running software which  can make access internet slowly

Thanks

Different Internet providers block facebook differently. I find that just using googles DNS is sufficient in most cases.

Actually Google DNS is the best way to access blocked I.P.s from vietnam. Don't use softwares like Ultrasurf, HotSpotshields, etc. etc. those will slow your computer down, cause some trouble to the typing and unleash malwares, spywares which your anti-virus programs can not detect.
Go change your DNS add like following:
Prefered 8.8.8.8
         8.8.4.4

I just tried to change my DSN...but how should I change it?

Thanks everyone for helping me!

Try this link:

http://macs.about.com/od/networking/qt/ … cs-dns.htm

Or this one:

http://www.plus.net/support/software/dn … _mac.shtml

http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001161.htm
The link that teaches you how to do it. And the new DNS addresses are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

As some others have said, some ISPs block Facebook and others do not. It is blocked where I live and the 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 DNS settings no longer work for me. However, the ISP where I work in Bien Hoa city is not blocking Facebook right now, and I have my DNS addresses set to automatic. Facebook also works on most smartphones using 3G (but not wireless if the wireless' ISP has it blocked). So try the suggestions you see here, or hear about from others. But if you have the opportunity to move around the HCMC area and connect to different ISPs (such as in coffee shops, etc.) you may be able to get Facebook that way as well.

Thanks to everybody! I kinda solved it in the way saigonmonkey told us!

Cheers,

Gherardo
