Holidaying in Charente maritime

Hello I'm going on holiday to a village called pisany in the Charente maritime region in August. I'm staying in a gite but when we first fly in the gite is not available for the first night, so we need a nice family hotel to stay in for that night. We will be flying into bordeux airport and traveling from there. I appreciate any help as I have never been to France or this area before.
