Air quality in Chiang Mai ? Life in general?

Hi Everyone,

How are you finding the air quality there? Interested in moving there. I have sleep apnea. Anybody else have that problem? How are you coping?

Please let me know when you can.

Thanks

Poor air quality can exist for several months during the year.  People that actually live there full time can provide frequency and time of year it normally occurs.

This was the worst year ever. Sanpatong is 22km southwest and usually spared, but this year my Thai was sick for over two months and coughing every night. Chiang Mai was worse, of course. Seems like it starts about January and gets worse through March.

Hello,
I live on and off in Chiang Mai and have been through 3 burning seasons. Sometimes it is so bad it is difficult to breathe and my eyes were stinging. I happened upon a solution that at the very least mitigates the problem. As an avid cyclist the air quality or at least the ability to deal with it are very important to me. I did a lot of research and wrote about what I found and how it all relates to my "solution". Read and if you have questions I will be more than happy to discuss further. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzdiHOC … m41dw/edit

Wow, thanks MM.
