Jobs for Software Developer

software development is still going strong but it's probably hard to find the jobs since they often don't seem to be listed in my experience. Most developers I know seem to flow between companies based on personal connections.

You can try looking up the websites of software companies in Iceland and applying that way- if they have a site in English it's a good chance they'll be fine with a programmer who doesn't speak Icelandic. Many companies may not be advertising a need for new developers but might be tempted by a special set of skills if it fits with their plans.

Otherwise you might have to learn some Icelandic words so you can read the classified ads on the newspaper sites like mbl.is and visir.is.
