I am a resident on Dubai for the last 5years, i come from kenya, i would like to visit Russia, how hard is it to get a visa?

It is not that hard:)
1) you may use a service of an agency who will provide you a visa for some money
2) if you have a friend in Russia, he can make you an invitation based on which you will get a visa.

I would advise using agency. It is so much easier to pay them money and they will sort you out!
These types of visas will not allow you to work, though... 
I hope you understand that.
