Living cost in Oman

As for the cost of living it varies by city, i.e Muscat, Sohar

Cost of Living In Sohar only
Based on my actual knowledge during my temp. stay at Sohar. I'll be moving to Sohar in couple of mth, may be I could advise the real figure later.

a)Accommodation
  Min OMR 50 (Single room) - Max OMR 790 (Luxury Villa)

b) Transportation (depends on the individual)
   b.1 Taxi/cab - Don't have the figure, but it is cheap
   b.2 Public Transportation (Bus)- Don't have the figure, but
       it is cheap
   b.3 Lease car Min OMR 50 - Max ??? (depends on the individual)
   b.4 Buy a car Min OMR 4000 - Max ??? and all the dealer
       provide expat buy back programme

c) Food
   c.1 1 pax ( Min OMR 50 - Max OMR 150)- i.e Fast food and
       local food will be more cheaper
   c.2 More than 1 pax kindly multiple c.1. Better to cook at
       home and plan dining once a week - much more practical

d) Groceries
      Min OMR 50 - Max ??? (depends on the individual)

got an oppurtunity to work in Muscat

i got job in oman in salalah, for 400 RO , could you advise going there will fetch us good savings for normal living , pl reply at the earliest
but accomadation is free !!!!!!!!!!!!

i am hyderabadi , i would like to know , is there any worth going  to oman for such offer

it s getting more and more expensive here
