I think English has become very popular in china now.
I hav a friend in UK from GZ ,he speak fluent english. Im sure u will hav no problems. ^ - ^

Your best bet on arrival, get a translator if your visit has to do with import/export. But as someone has said, you may be able to navigate speaking English. If you don't want to be caught off guard, you should get a dictionary. You would be surprised that even those who speak some English will not readily speak with you since you are a foreigner. But once you 'crack them up' they readily get along
