Hi
I have heard about few social events taking place in riyadh at private places, such as musical nights, family fun fairs and etc.
It is ok to attend private events outside the embassies? I mean are they supported legally or the events can shut down anytime by mauttwwa?
I am just kinda scared to go to such places

no there is no harm in compounds .. u can atten all and anysort of event in compounds ,,

The compounds are as safe as the embassies.
Sometimes such events are arranged in Istarahas (rest house in translation) and that's what you must be reluctant about.
