Will an unlocked iphone purchased from US work in Jordan? Would I be able to only purchase GSM sim card from local carriers in Jordan?

Hello there,
An "Unlocked" iPhone will work here with no problem that is if it is "Unlocked", just get a sim card and insert it and make your phone calls and browse the internet and text your friends via WhatsApp
