Using a Master's Degree

What work can I do in BC with a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology? I understand that to practice as a Psychologist in BC it is essential to have a Doctorate level degree (understandable for clinical psychology, but a bit odd for forensic psychology). Anyway, I have 3 years experience working as a support worker/healthcare assistant in low secure mental health facilities, and have 6 months experience as an Assistant Psychologist (Also in low secure). Is their a need for Mental health workers in BC? and what are the salaries like?

Hi Paul,

I believe the link below might be of help. BTW, which country are you from and when are you intending to move to Canada?

Thank you Mandie,

I am in the UK at the moment and will be looking into various visa's for the quickest possible route into Canada. We are hoping for a permanent move as soon as possible.

Paul

Hey, just following up on your previous post...have you been able to move to Canada yet? Want to share your experience with members?

Wish you the best!
