Pregnancy in Mauritius

Hi,

could you please share advice and tips about pregnancy in Mauritius?

Who are the best gynecologists for pregnancy follow-ups?

Which hospitals or clinics would you recommend to give birth in Mauritius?

Thanks a lot for your advice :)

Christine

Hi Christine
I came to Mauritius when I was three months pregnant with a high risk surgery after a loss. A couple of people recommended Dr Guy Gnani (Curepipe) and believe me I wasn't disappointed. He is one of the best gynaes on the island and handled my pregnancy extremely well. I delivered at Fortis Clinique Darne and had a great experience.
I've also heard of Dr Beebejaun and went for a consultation with Dr Oomerally who was also very good. All the best.
Cheers
V

Thank you veru much for this information, Vids! :)

I used Dr Aumeerally at Bon Pastuer Rose Hill. SHe is amazing!!!!! I would highly recomment her. Apparently Bon Pasteur is also highly recommended for labour as it has wonderful facility and brilliant care. I had mine at Darne but was actually very disappointed. Had FORMS shoved in my hand while i was holding my 30 minute old NEW daughter! Checking out took 3 hours! People didnt seem very compassionate.
