What are the taxes on US citizens working in London? Are there credits/exclusions to avoid double taxation? I have been trying to research this on the IRS and HM Revenue & Customs web sites, but it is very difficult to determine the answer.

unfortunately not...There's exclusions for the US taxes (you'll only be taxed if you make a decent amount), but not the UK. Its the price to pay if you earn decent wages and are an expat.

Probably the best thing to do is to look on the IRS webpage. I believe (but you need to check to be sure) that if you make less than $80,000 US dollars, you only need to file for the US.
