Filing your tax from Vietnam?

Hi guys,

Did any of you file your income tax from Vietnam before. How do you do that? I expect to get some tax return back to me if I just know how to that from here.

Cheers,
Vu

File a Canadian return?

Tere are a cople of links you should look at: < http://www.worldwide-tax.com/vietnam/vi … eaties.asp >, < http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/weba … 04_1e.html >.

They are essentially agreements to avoid people getting double taxed.

Many VN companies pay cash and stick it under the busy column called Other or Incidental Expenses where bribes to cops go.

Note the use of RESIDENCE - it determines who comes first in line for collecting the cash. Then the other country gets second crack.

I use a part time bookkeeper to do my corporate books. Never a problem. His full time day job is working for the provincial tax department!

Paying tax depends a bit on what you are doing. If you are employed, your employer has to pay the contribution, if you are representing an entity, you should have a tax/accounting clerk (part or full time).
If you are just doing casual, than best thing is to contact a tax clerk.
To find one is quite easy. Many of the law office do such services. You also can ask friends who are running a small business (bars, shops, travel/visa agents .. if they can recommend one.
Many are prepared to work ones a week a few hours and come to your place, commonly require a pc.
Virtually all of them do have an account with the tax authorities  and surely can create/get a number for you.

About money back? Only he tax guy might know.
