Try www.seek.com.au for engineering positions

I honestly think it is difficult to find a company to sponsor someone for a 457 visa. It is costly and time consuming. With unemployment rising here in Oz companies will employ locals first.

You could try approaching large companies like Bechtel who have a lot of work in Oz and do employ overseas engineers. www.bechtel.com

Also contact some of the headhunters who advertise on seek and see if they have a client looking for overseas workers. You can also register your CV with them.
