Schools for Foreign Children - Dual (VN & English) & Language Programs

Some these are members of the school industry where fee extraction is first and teaching a distant second. Many are carpet baggers that arrived after 2000, shiny new buildings with questionable credentials. Many have investors waiting for their payouts. Fees are based on what companies allow their employees. Be aware that Application, Registration, Library/Book and School improvement fees are often charged IN ADDITION to annual education fees.

Great list, but the International Primary School (IPS) and the Asian International School (AIS, formerly AHS) aren't on the list.

Teachers, parents and students should be wary of IPS, AIS and Saigon International University (SIU).  They have a LONG history of abusing students and staff.  One notorious incident involved them ignoring a teacher who was touching the girls in an inappropriate manner, then firing another foreign teacher who tried to intervene.

What about the new school Americal School of Vietnam or TAS ?
It is new. Anyone know it's reputation?

Hi everyone,if you are living in Vietnam and want your kids have English education with few Vietnamese courses, you should choose HORIZON INTERNATIONAL BILINGUAL SCHOOLS both in Saigon and Hanoi. I had many close friends(from different embassies and other business) who are completely with this schools program.

hope it helps

VLS Vietnamese Language Studies is a Vietnamese language School which has been around for years and is very popular with expats and short-term visitors who want to learn Vietnamese.

I don't know why it's on this list of language mills and shysters. It's Vietnamese and all the charges are clear. Highly recommended and worth a visit if you are so inclined.

Check the website above.

I have no connection there, I'm just clearing up another piece of overexuberant and tastefully emboldened misinformation.

Good place, good able people and very affordable.

It wasn't included as it is not a school.

It is a commercial single subject language teaching operation that teaches no curriculum associated with a school. Applicants are generally older and sponsored, frequently, by companies.

Jaitch,

Just what I needed. Thanks for the information. :)

Keep an eye out - update coming soon!
