quality of cairo private hospitals

hi people!

I am considering to go to Cairo, Nasr City for half a year, can you pls tell me something about private cairo hospitals?
Are they quality, do you have any experience? Can they be compared with europe in terms of quality of medical care?

I cannot help you compare with Europe .... but anyways there are lots of good hospitals there. I prefer Cleopatra Hospital, it is in Heliopolis which is a half-hour drive from Nasr City.

Hi Nela:

You can get just as good of care in Cairo as in Western Europe or the States. Often times, you can contact your embassy for advice regarding physicians/hospitals/etc. I know on the US Embassy, they have a list of recommended doctors for various specialties.

Remember, Egypt exports physicians--they train a ton. Many many Egyptian physicians do their residencies and fellowships in the US, UK, Germany, and France. There are those that return to their home country to practice either part or full time.
