is it popular to share a flat in Auckland ?
What advice would you give to those looking for shared accommodation in Auckland ?
Can you recommend specialized local websites or newspapers?
By the way, keep in mind there is a flat share/house share section in the Classifieds

The most common easiest place to find flat sharing etc in NZ (and anything else you might need to buy) is the kiwi eBay, trademe.co.nz
Usual common sense, and try to get at least vaguely familiar with locations around Auckland as some places are easier for public transport than others, if you don't have a car for a while. Most areas have expensive and cheaper areas, and most are great places to live. Good luck!
