is it popular to share a flat in London ?
What advice would you give to those looking for shared accommodation in London?
Can you recommend specialized local websites or newspapers?
By the way, keep in mind there is a flat share/house share section in the Classifieds

Yes flat and housesharing is very popular in London. When I moved to London from the United States, I wasn't use to living with others. I had always had my own flat. But because London is so terribly expensive, everyone I knew flat shared or house shared. I lived in a beautiful townhouse with 5 other people in Camden (across the street from Amy Winehouse) and I rented out a room. I had to share a bathroom, kitchen, living space. It was a huge adjustments but I made it through. I also had lots of privacy as well. I found my flat through a friend but I know alot of people found flats and flatmates with gumtree.
