No, most use internet filing by the way.
And note that your taxes paid on goods and services (iva) can be refunded to you monthly upon filing a form in your Provincial office -- as a jubilario

Technically - yes, Ecuador taxes its citizens/residents on their worldwide income, but practically it is not being enforced, they have more problems then that to go after.
