Organize your move to Pakistan

Hi all,

we invite you to share your experience about moving to Pakistan.

Here is a list of questions which might help the ones preparing their move to Pakistan:

What would you bring and what would you leave behind?

Is it a good idea to bring furniture or domestic appliances?

Any foodstuffs that are banned in Pakistan?

Is it better to bring a car or to buy one once settled in Pakistan?

Any advice for the ones who are moving to Pakistan?

Thank you in advance for your participation :)

you can bring anything that u want mostly elctrnics items or palm/laptops as they r expensive here. specifically there is no such prohibition in pakistan about stuff.

No, as they are inexpensive here in pakistan.

Any foodstuffs that are banned in Pakistan?
ya. Pork, Frog, you can not find it anywhere in pakistan.

its better to buy 1 from Pakistan else if you bring it from ur home it will cost you 300% of the price of car to make it clear from customs. meanwhile u can hire cars for eg. honda civic is like less than 800US$ a month

Any advice for the ones who are moving to Pakistan?
if you are coming 1st time to pakistan and u dont know some 1 here, so......... dont become a hero make ur hotel bookings prior to ur arrival and plz plz plz for God's sake dont go out after 12mid night alone.
