I have to travel this week to Alex, Can someone please tell me what bus service is best to travel and from where can I get the ticket. Can I get the ticket same day or should I get it prior to traveling day ?

Try Microbuses from Ramses Square, To Mahatta (Train Station). It is not the best but the fastest. range from 25.00 to 30:00 EGP

P.S. - Regarding the message / response above I do not recommend you the micro-buses absolutely at all. You better travel safe then fast, believe me I have traveled Cairo/ Alexandria too many times to see the difference.
