Hello Folks:

My sister is coming back home after a few years of absence.

When she left the US she took her dog with her. The dog has a passport she says.

What does she need to do to bring it back to the California?

Paperwork? Proof of shots?

Contact a vet who will tell you which department to ask, also the airlines may be able to tell you who you should ask.

Most likely, proof that the dog doesn't have rabies, this may need to be done six months in advance, if the rabies shots have been kept up, possibly just proof of vaccination.

Get in touch with the relevant department, you could start with US customs, or possibly homeland security.
