Maybe you can try to visit a dentist in big or state-owned hospitals in Guangzhou. I don't know if these dentists need a license, though. And no idea about any qualified private clinic.

Kate I recommend Nanfang Hospital. You will pass it when you head for Guangzhou city center. BUS or Metro station: Nanfang Hospital.
