What do you think about the means of transportation in Yekaterinburg ?

Is the network of means of transportation well developed?
What modes of transport are available?

Do you use them?

Hi Armand. I just returned from a 3 week vacation in Ekaterinburg. The trams, buses and the metro all cost 18 rubles - a very reasonable fare. The metro was clean and in excellent condition with artistically pleasing stations. The trams were a good means of transportation but finding one that went where you wanted to go was often challenging. I relied mostly on the "bus". Buses were small and seated about 15-20 people. The roads in Ekaterinburg were horrible and the suspension on all the buses was shot (broken). Rides on the bus were bone-jarring but they were convenient and got me where I needed to go.
