Public transportation in Bordeaux

I use the Tram in Bordeaux everyday and I have to say I think it's a great system.

From what I can tell, before the city had the tram it was car and bus central. Within the old city you can quickly understand that this would have created a major mess of things.

The tram is clean and still reasonably priced. My only complaints are that the trams usually over flow during rush hour and the air con doesn't seem to work that well when it's full. Ideal world stuff...

The trams are safe (as the majority of Bordeaux) but obviously late on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights there can be the occasional incident.

Otherwise, there are buses if the tram doesn't reach the out skirts of Bordeaux. These also seem to be pretty efficient.
