As a native, I think the overall transportation is fine, but the rush hours needs a good patience and preparation if we have urgent matters.
1. Public transportation: buses, tram, light rail...
cheap(RMB 1-5) and safe, but not all of them have bilingual services.
2. Taxi: convenient and fair(RMB 8+)
