Hey, Im an Australian currently living in the UK & travelling around europe, but im looking at moving to south america later next year, specifically Argentina & to live there for at least a year to learn Spanish & experience the culture etc. Would you have any information on what I need to do VISA wise or anything like that? Anything you can mention would be a great help! Cheers - Jake.

Hi Jake,
As far as your situation is concerned, you will not be able to get any one year visa in Argentina. Your best option will be to come as a tourist ( visa available for 3 months, and then either go out from Argentina a few days and come back with a new 3 month tourist visa A.S.O.) But there is a risk you must assume: immigration can refuse your entry at any time while run visas are more and more scutenized by them. Other possibility is to go to immigration just before end of validity of your tourist visa, pay Pesos 300 and get an offical 3 months prolongation of your visa.
