Has anyone encountered something similar to this:
Both parents got work visas, and have minors they would like to have travel with them at the same time. Employer suggested the kids get a visit visa to enter then have this converted to a residence later. The question is: Is this conversion from visitor to resident an easy process, and can this be done while in the country?

Hi Amegy how have you been?
the process your talking about has an easy solution, one of the parents applies for a family visa for his/her kids and gets them a legit visa.
visit visa's can never be "converted" legally, unless im wrong, and I honestly dont think im wrong 
but they might mean that visit visa is quicker so you can have your kids here untill the family visa can be processed. and then have them leave the country and travel back on the permanent visa's.
