Unsure where to live with kids? Powai or Bandra?

Can anyone give me some pros and cons between the two areas? I'm wondering where is best for children? Their school is not in Powai...so would have to travel further...? But alot of expats live in Powai...why?

It is an accepted principle: neighbourhood school or job.
So ideally the residence and the school need to be closer to each other.

I have to suggest that if the school is not too far,then it doesnt matter-provided they are picked up by the schoolbus and not dropped in a car either driven by parents or the driver.

Just as the creche gives the child the opportunity to learn from other children,in a different fashion the school bus does the same.

I am sure that the school has a bus which picks up children from Powai and drop them back.

I would suggest bandra any day coz of good locality its good for kids. Why so many expats stay in powai could coz of bandra is very expensive as compare to any other place in bombay.
