I think its easy. Also, we have some specific district for foreigner here: An Phu (distric 2), Phu My Hung (district 7), Pham Ngu Lao (distric 1), ...
How to find a home in Ho Chi Minh City: classifieds, real estate portals, real estate agencies?
I think using real estate portals or real estate agencies is a good way to find a home. Also, the fee they charge is not too high
How much is the rental for a house, an apartment?
Its up to the district, up to the size of a house, up to a building.
But normally, in district 7: from 400 - 800USD
And in district 2 or district 1, its about 1500 - 4000USD
What are the formalities or the required documents for renting an accommodation?
Normally, i think its just need a passport for making contract
Which advice would you give?
Dont worry too much about living in Viet Nam. Its nice country with friendly people.
