Clinical Dietician or Registered Dietician
Can be based in a facility whether a Hospital, Clinic or Private practice.
Duties include: Patient assessment/ nutritional assessment for patients needs, both outpatients or inpatients. Providing nutrition based interventions such as nutrition education or patient counselling, disease specific diet modification needs and therapeutic supplementation via different feeding routes can be oral, nasogastric tube feeding or Total parenteral Nutrition. Providing and initiating weight management programmes. Providing Nutrition education to groups or individuals with diseases of the lifestyle such as Diabetes, Hypertension etc.
