3 Year contract (renewable).
Single contract for unmarried candidates, while Family contract offered for married candidates.
Generous Tax free basic salary. Offered according to experience. From 11400 up to 21000 QAR per month (depending on experience). 21 000 QAR is /- 7400 AUD per month basic salary. Salary paid in QAR. Salary paid in QAR.
Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
40 days paid annual vacation days.
End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Within the Mission, Vision and Values of the group and the Department of the Corporation the incumbent is responsible to achieve the corporation’s targets for standards of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of clinically coded data. The incumbent is also responsible for developing coder-clinician interaction and should demonstrate a high standard of clinical coding activity, to ensure that both clinicians and managers maintain a high level of confidence in the quality of the data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieves the corporation’s targets for standards of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of clinically coded data.
Maintains and further enhances the levels of coder-clinician interaction.
Demonstrates the continued achievement of high standards of clinical coding in order to ensure that both clinicians and managers maintain a high level of confidence in the quality of the data.
Assists in the development of a clinical coding training programme for staff.
Keeps abreast of clinical coding standards, reporting, and information policies
Assists in the development of a Clinical Coding Audit programme involving clinician and clinical coders.
Assembles medical records in standard order.
Checks and analyzes medical records for accuracy, adequacy and consistency of documentation.
Assigns appropriate codes for each diagnosis, operation and procedure based on the
International Classification of Diseases and Procedures.
Prepares deficiency slips for incomplete records.
Collates generated abstracts from medical records and inputs information into the computer.
Records abstracts on discharge list.
Assists in data gathering for research, studies, and statistics.
Accounts for daily discharges and performs audit as necessary.
Performs other duties as required.

Skills
Minimum Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: 2-3 years post qualification experience in medical records/health information and ICD10 coding.
Preferred: 5 years in ICD10 coding, prefer ICD 10AM.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Recognized certificate in coding qualification: CHIMA, AHIMA, HIMA, NCCQ, or home country equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English - Oral and Written.
Diplomas
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certificate (Intermediate or Advanced) from HIMAA (American Health
Information Management Association) or home-country coding certificate.
Preferred: Degree in Medical Records or Health Information, Allied Health Sciences, Medicine or Nursing.
