We are now seeking to recruit an Accounts Officer, to provide a complete financial administration service to the business, manage and address all items of a financial nature and provide information as required. The selected candidate will be responsible for the general account function and ensure that the accounting system is up-to-date and accurate at all times. The Accounts Officer is required to assist the Finance Executive in carrying out the responsibilities of the finance department.

Essential Job Functions:
Working closely with the Finance Executive to ensure the smooth operation of all finance items.
Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including invoice processing, journal and bank postings and bank reconciliations. Organises and registers cheque payment and/or cash as received.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
Establish and maintain supplier accounts.
Monitor and regularly chase debtors, ensuring that KPIs are achieved at all times.
Assist the Finance Executive in the annual statutory audit process.
Assist with the end of month process.
Provide reporting to Finance Executive when requested.
Keep Finance Executive up to date on a weekly basis.
Identify and resolve errors and discrepancies.
Plan, organise and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to NetRefer’s financial procedures is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
Suggest changes to the department procedures and actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes.
Undertake periodic audit of own work and report on areas of possible improvement.
Ensure you uphold standard procedures, good practice & precedents and understand what results or outputs are required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
A minimum A level pass in accounts.
An MCAST diploma or degree, AAT or equivalent post-secondary qualification in accounting is preferential.
2 years' work experience in accounting is considered an asset.
Proficient in use of MS Office mainly Excel and Outlook.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
