This is a London-based role.

The translation industry is very vibrant, busy and exciting but it can be very difficult for new graduates to set foot into it. We have therefore created our translate plus Graduate Academy to help recent graduates to make their way into this exciting career.


You will be part of our sales teams with a dedicated team manager and your personal mentor who will help you through the programme, answer any questions you may have and generally point you into the right direction. You will be introduced and receive training on all aspects of business development such as how to book meetings successfully, how to run marketing campaigns, write proposals, etc. and of course how to sell language services effectively. You will start as a Junior Business Consultant and on successfully completing the academy you will "graduate" a Business Consultant. At this point you will be able to actively grow your client portfolio and to continue your next career steps with us.

This role will focus on business development within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities include:
•Making telephone sales calls to existing and new customers
•Booking client meetings
•Discussing costs and quoting decisions with your Sales Manager
•Preparing proposals
•Creating marketing campaigns (e-mail shots, physical mail shots etc.)
•Using your initiative and creativity to identify opportunities for new key accounts
•General administrative tasks

Skills and experience required:
•Strong oral and written English skills
•Some experience of working in a sales environment
•Public sector knowledge/experience
•Some experience with cold calling
•Hard-working, self-motivated and an interest in career progression
•Enjoying making money!
