Core Competency

Throughout my career I have mostly held Client facing roles with a Business Development brief. These have usual been incorporated under a marketing umbrella and came with local / regional team responsibility as well as for Partner and Representative Networks. Most roles have involved significant pioneering of international markets for both established and start-up companies.

I joined CellCity to launch Singapores first Mobile City Guide and help create a Digital Marketing and Advertising platform. Stage 2 was to the Mobile App International during 2009.

CellCity won a government project with the Singapore Tourist Board and InfoComm Development Authority and was chartered to provide a mobile phone app Guide for Singapore, which on completion was to be to commercialise, adapting its contents for consumption across all digital media and creating a publishing platform that provided a unique solution to the rapidly faltering Print Media alternatives.

The Digital Concierge (now branded DC2Go) went commercial in April 2008, winning numerous awards in the Tourism and IT world. DC2GO partnered with Nokia Asia to bundle the mobile application into all their smart phones locally (subsequently to go regional) whilst also integrating Nokias mapping solution and linking with NTT Docomo (Intertouch) to provide City Guide solutions for their Web Portal and IPTV services.

CellCity Pte Ltd is privately owned / funded and DC2Go was launched in 2006. Its primary role is to provide a content management system and digital platform to allow easy access to relevant content across all digital mediums and serve advertising on to a mobile platform in a fully monetised manner.

Reasons for leaving:
Contract completed, got married and returned to the UK to accommodate family needs and ageing relatives.

Role ​​​​Executive Consultant Strategy, Implementation and Marketing
Organization ​​The Alport Portal Ltd. London (2004 2006) / The Creative Portal

Retained as the Brand and CRM consultant to plan and execute the re-launch of Alport Consulting, a specialist web-based design and creative HR recruitment firm based in the UK.

Created and drove the strategic and business development plan along with the creation of a web-based recruitment portal, writing the software specification for the on-line portal and overseeing the out-sourced system development and implementation.

In less than 12 months the firm recruited thousands of applicants worldwide and established relationships with over 30 major Branding agencies in the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The Alport Portal is privately owned / funded and launched in May 2005. Its primary role was to provide an affordable, intuitive e-business recruitment solution for the Creative, Advertising and Branding world and drive a C-change in the industry by introducing a unique on-line CRM operating culture.

Reasons for leaving:
Project completed and I relocated back overseas to capitalise on my experience in the Asia Pacific region.

Organization​​Entellium Technologies Sdn Bhd., Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, (1999 2004)

Originally contracted as a Brand Consultant to launch Entellium and create a global brand. Following the launch of the Company in May 2000, was offered and undertook the role of CMO with additional responsibility for the companys Business Development activities.

During my tenure, Entellium went from a small start-up to being a front-runner in the provision of CRM solutions in Asia and was recognised as the only Asian based CRM company in Internet.coms Global Top 200 and #2 in the US marketplace

Entellium was a privately owned / funded Web-based CRM Company. It employed over 200 staff at its peak and had International operations with many customers from the Fortune 500. Primary role to provide affordable, consumer-friendly, web-based CRM solutions for Sales force, Marketing and Customer service automation.

Returned to England to enter kids into school (GCSES) and take care of ailing Parent.
Role​​Regional Business Development Director - Asia
Organization​Top Jobs on the Net (TJON), Bangkok, Thailand (1998 1999)

Joined this franchise purchased by a friend to help him set-up and launch a web-based recruitment portal.

Headquartered in Thailand, I was responsible for establishing the platform from which to roll out the product across Asia-Pacific. Subsequent to TJONs - US listing the parent companys investment focus switched to Europe to capitalise on their strengths and the Asian expansion was abruptly curtailed.

Key tasks included recruiting and managing sales staff, addressing Industry Association conferences, proposing recruitment strategies for corporations, overseeing the development of local content and the design of a website in line with corporate global standards.In its first year of operation the portal boasted 20 fully subscribed corporate clients, mainly MNCs..

The withdrawal of funds for Asia. Approached by entellium to re-brand/ launch operations in the Asia Pacific. .

Founded the envision Group with two creative partners to become Asias first multi-disciplinary design consultancy based in Hong Kong with project offices in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Sydney.

Responsible for business development and overseeing all marketing initiatives from creation of corporate collaterals/presentation, to event sponsorship, public speaking and strategic brand consultancy.

The envision group represented a cross section of professional disciplines from graphic design to architecture and offered a full service, multi-disciplinary design practice that delivered strategic image management of permanent media for Corporate, Brand and Retail Identities.

It succeeded in becoming one of the largest Asian-based, international design consultancies with project activity in 17 countries. Clients included: AMI (Synovate) / Caltex Petroleum / First Pacific Davies / HSBC / HK Telecom / HKTA / The Macau Brewing Company / Ove Arup / Reebok / Dragonair / Waterman (Hong Kong), Bangkok General / Central Hotels & Resorts/ Dairy Farm - Guardian / Eu Yan Sang (Singapore), entellium (Malaysia), Siam Commercial Bank / Thai Oil / Thai Satellite (Thailand)
