Other Things to Note
Our House is an unconventional dream that becomes a paradigm-shifting reality, an example of sustainable living & construction with the design of our friends from Alborde Architects.
Construction of the Acknowledgement winning urban remediation project in the historic center of Quito has participate in the famous Chicago Architecture biennale, and the Venice biennale in 2016. The approach of Al Borde Arquitectos appeared in the largest international survey of contemporary architecture in North America and Europe participating with their project to various international prices.
David Barragán one of the Architects that is on top of the renovation or the house also commented that winning the Holcim Awards Acknowledgement prize had created enormous visibility for the project, and the ongoing work of Al Borde. The project and its approach to sustainable design is also featured in La Ville Rebelle: démocratiser le Projet Urbain = The Rebel City: How to Democratize Urban Planning (Gallimard Collection Manifesto, 2015).
