Magnum Pop Up Stand at the Bon Marché

This weekend on Saturday 25th November at 16h00 the American
photographer, Richard Kalvar will be signing the Magnum Manifeste, a
book commissioned for the 70th Anniversary of the Agency, curated by
Clément Chéroux, director of the Photographic Department of the MOMA
San Francisco and Clara Bouveresse, historian of Photography.

He will also be signing the Contact Sheet from a series of Photos
taken in 1976 while on the campaign trail with Senator Fred Harris
during the American Democratic Primaries. This contact sheet was
selected from the Magnum archives to appear in the landmark book
Magnum Manifesto. ‘The repetitive handshakes of the senator appear in
a series on the page’ and offer ‘ a iconic vision of art coming out of
politics and of these frenetic rituals’ notes Clément Chéroux.
