Eric Labat (Nu Soul,Hip Hop) Afterparty with Greg L & Wah Leed

As of tender young age, Eric Labat let himslf being nourished by music. Born out of a Belgian-Congolese mix, he draws his inspiration from the Congolese chants hummed by his mother and the Jazz culture, as well as the classic, from his father. He starts off in the hart of the Baptist church choirs, later on discovers rap to finally get at his current style, a sweet blend between Jazz, Soul and R&B.

Author, composer and interpreter, his first texts are bit by bit constructed through what he has lived and felt, the music thus becomes an outlet.

In his approach of the musical universe in Brussels, Eric Labat quickly finds his place thanks to many collaborations with, among others, Jazz artists like Jérémy Dumont, but also Hip Hop such as Cris Prolific and the Froesheleirs.

In 2016 Eric Labat released the EP « X-Ep Rience », a self-produced project in which he mixes his influences.

On this occasion he will be accompanied by Josaphat Hounnou (Drum), Raffaello Visconti (Guitar), Jérémy Dumont (Piano) and Kevin Mambele (Sound Engineer) to present an exclusive interpretation, tailored with personal compositions, coming from the EP « X-Ep Rience », as well as retakes of Soul linked to the origin of his musical universe.

The energy, stirred with the evident talent of the five artists, is bound to produce a true magical musical experience.
