In this one day workshop, teachers will learn how to play several popular games in Music Mind Games, including latest updates by Michiko Yurko.
Topics to be covered:
- Musical alphabets
- Blue Jello rhythm reading and puzzle
- Solfage & Curwen hand signs
- Melodic & rhythmic bingo cards dictation
- Music symbols reading cards
Music Mind Games is a curriculum of more than 300 cooperative games for teaching music theory and reading, created and developed by Michiko Yurko in the USA in year1979. Used in music schools around the world, students learn sophisticated concepts involving rhythm, dictation, note reading, and sight-singing in the form of imaginative games. Thanks to a sequential pedagogical concepts, clever materials and mind-stimulating games, music lessons will never be boring again!

About presenter Tan Hui Kee:
- BA (Hons.) Classical Music from University College Sedaya International (UCSI), major in piano under tutelage of Mr. Loo Bang Hean
- In 2010, started her own music school Blue Grass Music & Arts; directed & produced an in-house musical "FUNtastic Disney! The Musical", raised RM10,000 for Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled
- In 2011, attended Unit 1 Music Mind Games training with Michiko in Melbourne, Australia
- Became Music Mind Games dealer in year 2011 and started giving her own workshops
- In August 2016, attended Unit 1 training with Michiko & Akiko in Tokyo, Japan.
