A look into the life of a new American aka me. I've recently moved from Zurich to Boston and am happy to share my everyday adventures as a Swiss expat discovering the US with you on my blog!
My blog is all about the culture shock of moving from Sydney to San Francisco. You'd think it would go away after a while, but it's been a year and I'm still finding things to write about, so I guess it never really stops.
In London I am known as the Italian Immigrant/Neapolitan. I have inherited my Neapolitan side from my father. I am nicknamed English/Londoner by the Neapolitans back in Italy. British thanks to my mother. I have spent a life chatting with my mother whilst sipping tea or cheering Napoli by my fathers side in front of a Neapolitan Pizza Margherita. Grew up in Naples, passed through The University of Birmingham, City of London to end up in New York. The Italian Immigrant tries to link Neapolitan humour with the British understatement (sometimes eccentric) passing through the life events of an Anglo-Neapolitan.
