Misurata is city in Libya and as far as i know the only way to fly to Misurata Airport is with Turkish Airline through Istanbul. It's a one hour flight from Istanbul, really quite pleasant as TA is a well known company. They even offer you Turkish delights before take off (really). 

As far as i'm aware, you cannot walk into a bank and ask for an account. If you're in Libya on a work visa or if you already have your Iqama (residence permit) your employer will ask you to open an account so that your salary can be paid into it. 

The Libyan renting market is a difficult one and for your first time it might be best to go through an agency. Of course if you know the city well or if you have contacts on the ground, it's best to do it your way.
